I love to wear dresses. There’s no “Do I tuck it in or leave it out?” dilemma to overcome. There’s no matching tops to bottoms. All one has to concern oneself with is accessories, which, of course, is no bother at all. In fact, it’s the most fun part of putting together an outfit. If pressed to describe the style of dress I most favor, I would say that I’m drawn to architectural dresses. And that means what, exactly, I hear you ask yourself. Well, it means that the dress has strong lines, is probably quite lengthy, and while the fabric may be floaty, the garment has a certain structure to it. Case in point; this golden-hued chiffon Rag & Bone maxi dress that I picked up on sale last year.
The dress has so much detail; From the bias cut to the lingerie-style straps down to the exposed zip.
It’s as textured and gorgeous as the abandoned building that I passed in the Dogpatch district of San Francisco on my way to a cocktail party last week.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think they bring out the best in one another!
